If you are considering partnering with the Quad Cities Baptist Association (QCBA), the first step is to review the About page on this website. That page is intended to give a general overview of the shared positions and culture of our association. Formally partnering with the QCBA brings both benefits as well as responsibilities. We ask that our partner churches supply one board member for our governing board, ideally someone in whom your congregation has already placed authority, such as an elder. That board directs the QCBA organization as a whole and helps to determine the direction and the actions we take as well as review and approve additional partner churches as the opportunity arises. Board meetings aren't terribly frequent (no more than quarterly, but no less than annually); this isn't meant to be a job, but rather a lesser commitment for someone in whom your church has already placed authority. Our partner churches commit to giving at least 1% of their budget to the QCBA to help defray the costs of events and programming. Finally, we rely on our partner churches to supply meeting space for our events should that need arise.
Once you've submitted an application for partnership, our board will review it and reply to you with any questions we have, as well as next steps. Thank you for your interest in furthering the gospel in the Quad Cities!
These slides provide an overview of our current trajectory for partnership, along with both the benefits and expectations of churches who choose to partner with us. If the above embed doesn't work, here's a direct link.
